Gamers have been putting DOOM on unconventional devices for decades - from calculators to ATMs - demonstrating that true "play anywhere" culture has existed organically within the gaming community. Players have always found ways to transform everyday devices into gaming platforms. Xbox will officially legitimize this behavior by creating playable versions of DOOM within Microsoft Office applications, coinciding with DOOM: The Dark Ages release (May 15th). This transforms the world's most used software into gaming platforms, showcasing Xbox's authentic understanding of "Play Anywhere", expanding the playable games to more than DOOM.
