Case Study Video

Campaign Logo

We’re building a personal stylist for each and every user right on the app. To build the stylist, users will take a personality quiz that creates an AI assistant tailored to their unique sense of style.

Users will also be able to create a virtual representation of their at-home closet by scanning items they own with their cell phone camera. The personal stylist will take inspirations from the personality quiz, the user’s current closet, and saved pins to suggest new outfit combinations using already owned pieces, or to suggest new pieces that compliment the existing closet.

When users come across a piece of clothing they like, they’ll be able to do a virtual try-on that translates visuals into a rich sensory experience. The personal stylist will guide users to stand up their phone, move into frame, and then use detailed language to describe the clothing’s feel and how it flows with the user’s movements.

To help take our users' styles to the next level, the AI stylist will perform a virtual color analysis. After users upload images of themselves, the stylist will provide a complete breakdown of the personal palette to ensure users find pieces that flatter their unique tones.

Fashion is fueled by inspiration. That’s why we’re spotlighting blind celebrities and influencers by adding their storefronts to the app so users can shop from their blind fashion idols.

Description

Insight: Blind people like fashion as much as anyone else.

Big Idea: Disrupt the idea that fashion is just for the eyes by increasing accessibility.

People think fashion is only meant to be admired by the eyes—but isn’t it all about self-expression? That’s why we’re making fashion more accessible to the visually impaired with InTouch Fashion by Pinterest. By revamping the app, we’re ensuring self-expression is limitless for blind fashionistas everywhere. Because great style belongs to everyone.
