Description
Getty Images is one of the world's leading image banks, yet the advertising industry there is a prejudice that stock images do not have the same creative value as original productions. This limits their use to sketches, internal presentations, and situations where agencies face tight deadlines and limited budgets.
The objective was to challenge this perception by demonstrating that some of the most iconic advertising campaigns have been created using stock images. By adding Getty Images' watermark to these pieces, the campaign reveals how they were produced.
In addition to the iconic campaigns Recolour the Rainbow by Skittles, Highlight the Remarkable by Stabilo, and Drive Carefully by Volkswagen, the project also includes well-known campaigns such as Tagwords by Budweiser, Think Different by Apple, and It's What's Happening? by Twitter, among others.
This initiative comes at a time when the advertising industry is undergoing profound changes in its creative processes, driven by technology, AI, and resource optimization. It is an invitation to rethink the role of image banks as a powerful tool for creativity.
