With its latest campaign, “A Better Breed of Internet,” WOW! is going all in on its beloved mascot, Wowzer. Upping the production value and overall investment in what’s easily one of the more eccentric corporate mascots in recent memory.
Wowzer is loyal, lovable and, like the Internet he represents, dependably awesome. The new campaign brings that to life, while leaning into the humor of his remarkable physique. In “Superfan” we see how Wowzer has become idolized by one WOW! customer who's never been in better hands. And in “Best in Internet,” Wowzer takes home best in class at a dog show after showcasing some of his key attributes: like reliability, simplicity and transparency.
Created with independent creative agency partner, Standard Practice, the new campaign aims to further boost brand recognition and drive demand. To bring the spots to life, the agency tapped celebrated director JJ Adler, known for her sharp comedic instincts and award-winning work for Manscaped, Geico, Gain, Progressive and more.
The campaign will run across the 20 markets WOW! serves, primarily in the Midwest and Southeast, including Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Additional radio, OOH, paid social and digital elements round out the effort.
